Helloo fellow learners...Anyone here do the ES minor courses? How long did it take to finish all 7? Any advise or suggestions on completing these in a semester?

A few of them are only available term one and a few are available term two.

But, I did THIRTEEN classes in one term. You can do this in a semester easily.

You can probably finish all 10 required courses at UMPI over one term for the BLS Education Minor. That would be $1400... and probably the cheapest/easiest/fastest option. Second would be COSC... again, both require 30 RA credits, COSC you should look at a community college or an inexpensive option like an exam. UMPI, you finish the required 10 courses from them, transfer all the rest in...

I'm currently doing this degree and I've just completed my third edu course as I'm completing 14 courses in total with UMPI to finish my degree. I've found them to be reasonable and its definitely possible to finish in a semester I would say. All I've had so far have been papers/lesson plans as the final assignment besides one which was a 20 hour field experience log + a 15 minute video presentation. The instructors are all super helpful and the courses teach you everything you need for the assignments. You could definitely finish them in a semester.

Thanks for the info. Have you personally done any ES minor courses ? How would you compare all of their final assessments ?

Thanks you for relying. How would you compare all ES courses final assessments ? I found that the milestone activities required a lot of time. And for Edu153 Foundations of Education courses the final assessment is pretty lengthy. Are all Es minor courses like that ?

Thanks! That’s awesome. Did you do any ES minor courses?

So...did you find out if it's doable in one term? Or are some of the courses not offered in the same term? I actually called and asked an enrollment specialist and he said "they're probably all offered over the summer" but wasn't sure. I haven't been given an advisor yet so i can't confirm.

Hi! May I ask what counts as field experience? If I'm already working as a teacher, but it's summer break, could I use previous experience?

I'm not sure about how an associates transfera but I did the majority of the courses offered by sophia +study.com bio with lab and I had 20 courses left with UMPI for the educational studies minor. I finished in 2 sessions and from what I recall the edu requirements were offered during both sessions.

I'm considering doing this too, I start next month. Curious if I can do all educational studies in the first term as you stated some are in the second term? Since quite a bit of time has passed since you posted this I'm hoping that's changed. I wonder why they have some available different terms anyways...

Courses are much slower on Brightspace than they were on Strut. Some people maybe able to complete the program in 1 session, but most will need 2 sessions. UMPI has stated repeatedly that the average number of courses completed per session is 3-4. Yes, there are outliers, but that is not the norm.
