So i just enrolled in Eng Comp 1 and eng Comp 2 and they see so different than all the courses i have done so far . Usually i go through the text books n give teh quizzes and then the final proctored exam . I was trying to check the details of these 2 and they seem so much diff that i am confused .
has anyone takes these two courses from Sl , if so any guidelines or suggestions ?
Highly appreciated.

I've taken the courses, it's like the Intro to Comm or their Business Comm.
Main difference is, there's a bit of writing, but that's the main difference.
The exams are way easy, the grading for the writing/papers are "easy" as well.
What would you expect? They don't have everything as a "easy to pass" course.
I took it over Study.com because I learn a bit more, you should read a thread by a member.
I'll dig it up for you... it's "not hard" at all, just a little bit more work than "usual".
For Intro to Comm/Business Comm, it's the same as Study.com - I took both at SL
As I always say, SL for the cheap/easy/fast, Study.com for the High School Easy.

As I recommended with Straighterline, try to finish a course a week and up to 5 courses for a month.
This is to reap the benefits of a "cheaper membership", I did 90+ credits in 6 months with them so far.
Note: I know only 90 will transfer, I just took courses as well because I wanted to "learn" more on it.
Hope this is helpful, here are the two most recent threads:
1) Debate on SL VS Study.com -
http://www.degreeforum.net/showthread.php?t=28747
2) Straighterline Composition Review -
http://www.degreeforum.net/showthread.php?t=27414
I finished each course in a week, so it took me about two weeks for them both.
The review's son finished the course in 3 days, I am "a busy body", I ain't that fast.
I would suggest you try and finish it in a week's time to get the benefit of the credits sooner.

My 10th and 12th grade sons took ENG 1 and ENG 2 this past semester. They did all the quizzes first and then did writing last. There is no final exam. Feel free to post your questions!
