The ACE recommends a score of 50 or higher to grant credit on the English Composition w/ Essay. However, the school to which you are applying the credits has final say regarding the cut-off score. I found this out the hard way when I scored a 60
, only to find that my school (Southern Illinois University) requires a firm 61:mad: in order to award credit for both English I & II. I am now waiting to see if they will at least grant credit for English I.
Check with your college for more information. Good Luck!

I'm sorry to hear that. I took the English comp w/essay on 2/13 and I'm waiting (impatiently) for the results. How long did it take to get your results? I'm going to check with my school to see what the passing grade is. Thanks for the heads up.

I only need 50 for TESC, (waiting for the results)but I'm sweating it out because I my essay was a bit rough.
