I am currently enrolled at UMPI in the BABA (Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration) with Project Management & Info Systems concentration. I have 10 classes left to go. I am graduating this week from Pierpont with a BOG's AAS with emphasis in Info Systems.
I have heard that UMPI offers a BS (Bachelor of Science) for those that have earned an associates. Does that apply to BABA students, too, or only BLS students?
For example, If I send the Pierpont transcript to UMPI (and they accepti it) will I have an option to earn a BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration)?
Just earning a Bachelor's will feel like a HUGE accomplishment, so this is a minor detail, but I was just wondering if this is an option at UMPI.

I can't answer your question, but I'm wondering, how long the process to get the Pierpont BOG took? I sent them the info several weeks ago, they replied they got it, but they still haven't even sent me a letter with my student ID number yet.
How long did it take for you to get a student ID number from them after you applied and sent your transcripts?

The BAS is only for the equivalent of a Liberal Studies degree. If you want a business degree, UMPI only awards BABAs and not BSBAs.

Just to confirm, you did apply for the BOG and not accidentally applied for another Associate degree, yes? Some students have accidentally applied for the wrong degree program, and it wound up slowing everything down.

Good catch! It's been so long, now I can't totally remember, but I'm pretty sure I did BOG. But it could also be the time of year too, I'm sure lots of people are graduating right now. I got the confirm email that they got my application, and then mentioned that they would send me a letter in the mail for more info and next steps. But nothing yet...

@OP, there is a slight different to the BAS and BLS, but it's essentially an Applied Science vs Liberal Studies with almost the same requirements. UMPI YourPace options are only BABA with a concentration, a BA with major, or a BLS with minor of your choice. Technically, the AALS and BAS are non YourPace options, but with the required courses for transfer, they may allow the AALS and BAS for YourPace students.
Side Note: If you're not doing the YourPace option, UMPI does offer BS degrees in different subject majors for a much more expensive butt-in-seat option. Link: https://www.umpi.edu/academics/majors/

TSGreer: I applied on 12/7/22 and received the official acceptance letter in the mail on 01/04/23 with instructions on how to log in and access my ROAR account. I believe I received an online enrollment confirmation email immediately after applying, and it had BOG (Board of Governor's degree) listed as my major.
You are correct, this is graduation time and they're probably very busy.
Nancy Parks is wonder woman, so I'm sure she can help you if you send her an email.
