Ok, I know it's easy to post negatives when things don't go as planned, but I thought I would post a positive!
Long story short I was under the gun from my employer to finish my degree. I did my courses, but had some delays in getting the scores to show up on my transcript at EC. When it got down to the wire for me, they went above and beyond to get things done even though they didn't have to.
They put me in for a May conferral even though my last exam score took a few extra day to post and I missed the cut off date by 2 business days. They sent my employer a letter to confirm I had finished in time. Then even though I paid my yearly student services fee in Feb. and I missed the 30 day graduation date cut-off they still agreed to apply my entire service fee to graduation. So now I only need to pay $40 for graduation instead of $495.
Then I wanted to re-enroll into their BSHS program, but couldn't until after conferral in May. Well they allowed me to send my paperwork to get the free enrollment waiver in the BSHS program now, the advisor approved some classes so I don't lose 2 months waiting and then they will automatically enroll me on my conferral date.
Well now it gets better. Today they called and said they moved up my conferral to April 17th! Just 2 weeks away! They knew this would help me with my employer and help me to get started on my BSHS degree.
All I can say is WOW! I'm lovin' EC right now!
If anyone has any doubts about what a great school this is or how they will be treated, take it from me they are wonderful and really work for the student. Ok so this wasn't so short, but I just wanted to say something positive about one of the big 3, since sometimes we don't get much of that around here!
