You need 8 courses or 24 credits for residency.
Take two English TECEPs
Take the Strategic Management TECEP
Take three more TECEP's from your General Mang. specialization (you need at least 7 more credits in this area)
Thats six TECEPs so you need 2 more. . .perhaps the CIS would work, but I don't know. I think you could always take two more TECEPs in your area of specalization since there are a lot of Business TECEP's available and use them to replace some of the others you had.
Then you can still take Saylor for Principles of Marketing.
I don't know the answer to CIS, although I do know there is either a DSST or a CLEP for this one.
I hope this makes sense as I'm really tired and not sure how coherent this sounds.
Thank you soooooo much, Zenurez. This makes a lot of sense. I really do appreciate the effort you put into breaking this down for me.

I'd suggest using the Marketing videos at Education-Portal to study for the Saylor.org Principles of Marketing Exam. It worked very well for me.

Hi Zen, thanks for the tip. Do you mean if I studied (using only) the EP Marketing videos I could pass Saylor without using the Saylor e-text?

Principles of Marketing was the first Saylor course I tried and I took it about 3 weeks ago.
I was very frustrated with lack of clarity, excessive wordiness, and general disorganization of their study materials.
Not wanting to read the 500+ pages indicated by Saylor, I tried to use the quizzes as a learning guide only to find out that the practice final exam was only about 20% overlap from the practice quizzes. However I studied my incorrect answers on the practice final (they tell you which answer is correct).
I then watched all the EP marketing videos and did all their short quizzes following each video. Next I re-took the Saylor practice quizzes one more time. Then I took the proctored final exam with Saylor and passed at 80%. I would suggest to take all the practice quizzes at Saylor as I think a lot of their questions are worded strangely. That way you can get used to their writing style. In hind sight, I wish I had done all the EP videos first, and then all the Saylor Quizzes and Practice Final Exam. I think, all together it took me about a week or about 20 hours of study time. EP says they are going to start charging for their courses soon, so you might want to try to fit this in ASAP.
There are a few questions on the final exam that are "specific" to the study materials. They will reference a specific article, etc, but I was still able to get 80% without having read the articles. They have a main "book" that you can also download and search to find clarification on answers that don't make sense.
Also, in order to not be charged more, you need to schedule your exam with ProctorU at least 5 days in advance. If you already have an account setup with ProctorU you will need to setup a new one specifically for Saylor (Saylors website will walk you through this).
So in summary, yes, I do believe you could pass the Saylor Principles of Marketing exam only using the EP marketing vidoes and Saylor Quizzes as prep tools.
