Excelsior liberal arts degree plan using Clep or other testing methods
#1
Hello, does anyone know where I can find a list of Clep tests that directly fill a liberal arts degree for Excelsior.  Like which specific test will fill each specific requirement.
Also, after looking at this site, Sophia.com seems popular. Any tests I should start with there?
I understand I will have to take a capstone and the other little things before I can get a full degree.  Thank you.

Sophia is currently free so you might as well take anything and everything that you can. See here for details:

Any reason why you're going for an associate's and not a bachelor's? If you're planning on getting a bachelor's later, that's an awful lot of money to spend. You'll need to take at least 7 credits through them.

But Sophia ought to get you most of the way to an associate's degree.

Approximate costs if you use Sophia:

7 credits from Excelsior itself (the bare minimum needed): $3570. 7 credits tech fee: $140. Graduation fee: $395. Enrollment fee: $1095. Total: $5380.

12 credits (minimum for waiving of various fees): $4920. 12 credits tech fee: $240. Graduation fee: $260. Enrollment fee: $0. Total: $5420.

You've gotten some good advice so far.  I'll just say, "take everything".  Once you've completed all the Sophia courses, you'll be within a stone's throw of meeting the requirements for a Bachelors at EC.  At that point, you can decide whether you want to stick with an AA or take a few UL courses elsewhere for a BA.

With the Sophia courses at no cost and requiring no invasive video proctoring, there's no compelling reason not to take every one of them.  EC accepts them all for credit, although as you're aware, they may not all fit your specific degree program.  But you also have the option of asking EC to add them to your MAP "below the line", meaning that while they may not have been applied towards your degree requirement, they will display on your transcript.
