I noticed while on the UoP website today that they offer credit for FCC licenses. I hold both commercial and amature license. However, I am not sure what that means. The note credit in 'UC', and 'LC'. Now I can't find the info on their site...

Hello! Looks like if you have your GROL and an amatuer license you will get some credit for it. For the GROL you will get 3 credits of lower division classes (considered freshman/softmore level) and 1 credit toward upper division classes (considered junior/senior level). Your amateur credit will depend on what class license you have. You can find the details on page 15 of the below document:

Good luck and 73's!

This is a great little resource, wish i had it when i attended. Rat bastards that they are. Nah just kidding it was a good school.
But this is a great little find.
But i noticed it says PLA. My experience with PLA is negative and for UOP for example you have to write a 5 page kolb model for any pla you try for just to get 1 credit and 15 pages for 3 credits. 15 pages of this model is not easy. Has anyone here ever actually completed a pla paper and received credit?

It is a great find for all. Especially since the FCC dropped the Morse Code requirement for Amateur license. The commercial license (I have both) is a whole different ballgame. But studying for a couple days to get a Ham ticket, given how much credit you can earn, is a good deal.
