I thought someone mentioned earlier in this thread that KayV had mentioned Conflict Resolution will transfer in as COM-435 in the management area of study. I would love to have a definite answer on this.
Hey Angela,
Yeah, same here. I checked the database and it has two separate entries: SOC-4344 and COM-435. I am wondering if it's similar to Org Behavior, Industrial Psychology, or even Public Relations where the same course fits into multiple degree plans AOS. It's just an awesome method of double dipping! I'm really happy for you guys that have taken advantage of the free/discounted credit.
Sophia Learning has proven to be an excellent credit source. It's nice to finally have so much detailed feedback! Whoever was responsible for this marketing campaign should take a bow. Even at full price the course is quite reasonable (especially for U/L credit). I'm sure Sophia will reap the benefits from this promotion.

I just noticed when I logged in today that there will be some changes to the ID verification process starting April 28th.
1. All IDVM questions will be new and correspond to the Milestone questions previously answered correctly
2. IDVM completion time will be reduced from 120 to 90 minutes with the exception of College Algebra and Intro to Statistics
I was counting on the questions being the same for the IDVM, so I need to hurry up and finish my last unit in Project Management in the next couple weeks

Thanks for the update! I have 3 units left, I gotta get on the ball!

It's a red banner across the top of the screen when I get to my class dashboard. I'm to the point where I can schedule my Verification Milestone, maybe it doesn't appear otherwise?

I just wanted to make a comment about their learning coaches. I signed my son up for English Composition for free, but we weren't planning on adding anything else and he was already pretty busy. However, he has been making good progress and keeping a pretty good grade. However, he was only a little over half finished and only had 11 days left in the course. I had read the website when he got started, so I knew there was a 30 day extension available, so I suggested that he request one. However, yesterday morning he had an email waiting on him asking if he was interested in a 30 day extension and encouraging him that he was doing great and was more than half finished. He has been pretty independent and has not needed the learning coaches much, but it is nice to know that they do keep track and are encouraging!
That's good to know about the English Comp. My daughter is nearing the end (working on her final paper) but they're taking a LONG time to get back with the grade/review. Since the second part (the actual paper) depends on the grade/information received regarding the first part (the outline), she can't really do anything until she hears back. So an extension will be needed.
CLEP's and DSST's passed: Fund. of Counseling, Tech Writing, Here's to your Health, Intro to Computers, Analyzing and Interpreting Lit, Human Growth and Devel, Intro to Soc., Crim Just, Law Enforcement, Env. and Humanity, Astronomy.
Completed 2 PLA's through LearningCounts.org.
Completed Capstone at TESC.
Does anyone know how long it takes to set up the ID Verification Proctored Milestone? Is it same day? I should be finished with the Project Management course on Saturday. Can I do the ID Milestone on the same day?
You should be able to. I was able to schedule my ID milestone as soon as my 3rd unit was finished. You just have to schedule it 3 days out, which if you haven't already scheduled it the earliest you could do it is Sunday
