GRE Question
#1
Hi I am considering a BS or BA in Chemistry from Ex. They have one listed in their liberal arts section. I think this is a subject that is very interesting.

They say they will deliver up to 30credits for an 80%. I do not expect to be able to score 80% however with studying I do not see why I can not still score good. What do you all think about using the GRE method.

Am I better off going the other way with clept/dsst/exc test? Also I know in their brochure they say they give letter grades for dsst exams. Do they also give grades for GRE? Or just pass fail?

Also I do not recall seeing them mention anything about the GRE general test? Do they award credit for that? Any information you all can give is appreciated.

Well I have always enjoyed chemistry. I took an intro chemistry class in college and chemistry in HS. One of my coworkers has his Masters in chemistry. He got it 3 years go. He is almost done with his doctorate. He has given me all his chem books and notes from his bachelors. He also gave me his GRE book for chem. He had to take GRE exam to get into graduate program at UF.

Although I wander why he wants his doctorate in chem since he is a ARNP (nurse practitioner). He says he is pursuing it simply for that sake of pursuing it. All the more power to him.

I figure even If I do not score remarkably well it will yield some credit. If I fail oh well. It will make other chemistry classes easier since I have already studied.

Thanks for the input on the general GRE test.
