Hi all,
I am getting ready to take Money & Banking next week. I know that this exam is difficult and to me, rather boring also I might add studying for it
Has anyone taken this exam? Anyone have any tips? I am using a textbook, a rudman book and of course instantcert! Thanks.

There hasn't been much feedback on that test. As you can see from the following post, one person barely passed, and the other person failed:

Maybe libartsmgr or someone else who took the test can give some tips... I believe it has the lowest pass rate of the Dantes, so it doesn't sound like you can overprepare for this one.

Trajan,
It was hard, I had taken both CLEP economics and flew through them. But this one caught me off guard. In hindsight, I didn't understand enough about the Fed Board, and the foreign trade stuff was confusing. I didn't take the DSST practice test, either - big mistake.
If I were to do it over, I would augment IC with a bit more Wikipedia on the major concepts and I would definitely take the DSST practice tests.
You can do it, just gotta respect it. GOOD LUCK! I'll be sending ya good fed board vibes!! :p

Did you use the Rudman book for this exam?

Trajan,
No, I didn't. The only exam I've used Rudmans for is Soviet Union. It didn't work very well for me. I liked that it had multiple exams, however, I didn't really trust the answers. I've had good success, however, with DSST's practice exam.
Besides, I kinda feel like it's looking a gift horse in the mouth to not take DSST's practice exams...

They have a few free questions at their site, but they also have more substantial, longer exam questions at a link on their home page. I haven't ever used one, but several here have. I think most have said that they're worth the $20.

Lizard - no, they're not free, but they're relatively cheap. DSST's are $20 each and you can take it twice. They seem to have two versions of each. So, it really amounts to $10 each time.
It's worth it.
