Actually, it looks great as long the department will accept all 21 fema's in the area of study. I would confirm this to be true; not just relying on a what if scenario.
If they should not and request a few alternatives, consider the following dantes exams: AOJ102 criminal justice and ENS201 race to save the planet. If memory serves I remember someone possibly using AOJ101 intro to LE.
I hope your supervisor appreciates your help!

The adviser I spoke with this week told me that I could apply "unlimited" FEMA credits to this degree in the area of study or otherwise, obviously the limit is set by what you need and the list of FEMA courses they'll accept. After some work I was quite happy to setup my area of study for the AAS with a nice variety of credits but you can apparently use FEMA for it all if you wish.
My area of study:
10 FEMA
4 ACE Workplace Training Credits (Delta Airlines) - Aviation Safety and Airport Safety & Security
3 CC Credits - Environmental Geology (GEO-201)
1 CC Credit - Environmental Geology Lab (ENS-399)
3 CR - Environment and Humanity: The Race to Save the Planet DSST (ENS-201)
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Has anyone used IS-230b Fundamentals of Emergency Management for this degree? i am just getting back in to this after my move and I see the latest list still has this as IS-230a. Is TESC still taking the new course? I got Scr**ed on this before when TESC didn't like a new course number.

I've got 230b on the transcript I sent to TESC, they haven't entered the courses yet though. I had asked about it on the phone when they gave me the list and was told they'd take the tests whether it was listed with no letter, an "a", or a "b". That was a generic statement about anything on the list so I guess we'll see. I've got 11 credits of FEMA and only am going to use 10 on the AAS field of study so as long as they take the other 10 credits I'm happy enough.

I just got off the phone with TESC, they said because FEMA is changing some courses around if the course name has changed (like EDM-107 was IS-230.a and now only IS-230.b is offered) you need to call TESC and ask before taking the new course or you may not get credit. I don't know what other course letters or numbers have changed I just wanted to warn people before they waste time. I just posted this on another thread too.
