How Close Am I To Associates?
#1
Without needing a transfer evaluation, does anyone know roughly how close I would be to receiving an Associates with TESC or COSC? I'm currently 3 credits short of my CCAF needing a speech class, which I've unfortunately enrolled in with AMU. My classes are as follows, if anyone can help me find out if TESC or COSC has a course conversion list that I could look up all this information I would greatly appreciate it. My job involves heavily into Logistics and Transportation, so many of my job knowledge credits are along those lines. Also I did review the degree plans, but all I could find in the wiki is degree plans based on solely testing out.

Including approximately 38 credits from my technical skills (job knowledge) listed as CCAF electives. Also, I have completed approximately 11 FEMA courses, including receiving my Professional Development Series Certificate.

AMU/CLEP/DSST
ENGL101 - Proficiency in Writing B 3/3
[DSST - Introduction to Computing] (Transfer Credit) 3

HIST101 - American History to 1877 A- 3/3
HIST102 - American History since 1877 B+ 3/3
RELS201 - Introduction to World Religions [DSST - Introduction to World Religions]
MATH110 - College Algebra [ALEKS - College Algebra]
POLS210 - American Government I A 3/3
ECON101 - Microeconomics B 3/3
LMM1101 LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT I 4.00
LMM1102 MANAGERIAL COMMUNICATIONS I 3.00
LMM1103 MILITARY STUDIES I 3.00

For an Associate in Science from Excelsior, I think you would just need their Information Technology (1 hour) and Capstone (3 hours) classes. They appear to count Managerial Communications as a Humanities elective, but you should ask just to make sure. Good luck!
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

For an AAS in Military Technology Leadership from TESC, you would need TECEPs in English Composition II, Psychology or Sociology, and one other TECEP in any subject (Environmental Ethics?) , along with the Associate Capstone. Taking 3 TECEPs + Capstone eliminates the enrollment fee so your total cost would be around $2000.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

For an AS from Charter Oak, you would need 3 credits each in English Composition II, Oral Communication/ Speech, Ethics, and Literature/ Fine Arts. You would also need 7 or 8 credits in Science, one of which must be a 4-hour course with a science lab. That makes 19 or 20 credits total.

Oh, and you have to take a Cornerstone class with them as well.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

I know all 3 schools have tuition and enrollment programs for service members that you could investigate. And thank you for your service!

Wow, thank you for all the information! You gave me numerous options I will be keeping as a word document to relate back too. It appears as if I may be relatively close to the Excelsior Associates. I was able to find a chart after you mentioned the Associates in Science, it appears as if I may be very close to the associates due to excelsior only requiring 20 Liberal Arts credits and the rest for the capstone and electives. Also, thank you for supporting!
