Has anyone used the instant cert study guides? They give you flash cards to answer with questions which are tailored toward the class you are studying for. They say they also give sample questions. I was wondering if this really works or is it a waste of money. Is it better to just get the free guide and study the txts they recommend?

Although I do not use the flashcards, the specific exam feedback, included w/ the subscription, is worth more than any review book you can purchase.

I find the flashcards very helpful. I don't try to answer the first time I just read the explanations and learn that way. The flashcards and the specific exam feedback are better at focusing your learning where it needs to be instead of trying to learn all of the material in a text. Even in a class teacher usually pick and choose what they teach or emphasize from the text.

For most of the exams I've taken thus far, I agree completely. I've used IC and probably will do so for the upcoming exams I'll be taking but the specific exam feedback in the forum was more helpful than anything else IMO. I look at IC as one tool of many I use in preparing for each exam.

I used the IC flashcards as my main study source for most of my tests and I did pretty well on all of them.
