Hypothetical question Associate degrees TESU
#1
If for a matter of time and other reasons, I'd like to get only an associate degree at TESU, is there a limit on the number of associate degrees? Does one have to pay a graduation fee for each of them or just one time fee? And how many associate degrees have no associate capstone?
I understand waiver fee is same price as bachelors.
And what is the earliest one can graduate at this point in the year?

Isn't the limit two Associates, and two Bachelors? So if you already have an associates from somewhere else, you'd be limited to just the one additional.

TESU limits you to two of each type of degree, yes.

And the fees for getting an Associate's vs. a Bachelor's are exactly the same, minus the cost of the capstone course if you are getting an Associate's without a capstone. I think the earliest you could graduate now would be March.

Do you have any RA credits? Why not a COSC Associate's degree?

Slight hijacking question - since there are two Areas Of Study allowed for each Bachelor degree, would this mean that, hypothetically, someone could graduate from TESU with two Associates and two Bachelors, each Bachelor with two AOS' (for a total of 4 AOS')?

Yes, you could definitely do that! It would take a lot more work but it is possible. For instance: BA History/English and BSBA Accounting/CIS.

I am checking with COSC too, yes I do have RA credits, is the amount required for COSC associate less than the requirement for the BA? Would it be much cheaper?
Thanks all for your replies.

If you have the RA credits already, an Associate's at COSC will be approximately $2k compared to TESU's $5k. But if you have the Pierpont BOG AAS, I'm not sure that spending money on an Associate's and NO Bachelor's is a good financial decision unless you absolutely need an AA or AS instead of an AAS.

Thanks. How many RA are required at COSC for associate degree?

At COSC, 12 credits need to be RA + the cornerstone course for an Associate's degree. 24 + capstone & cornerstone for Bachelor's. https://www.charteroak.edu/catalog/curre...r_inst.php

I would not get a 2nd AA if you don't need one - a complete waste of money.
