In general these credits are used to fulfill social science: HIS 121 or 122 or 201 or 202 or SOC 200 or 210* or PSY 200* or 210* or ECO 231 or 232* or GEO 100 or POL 200 or 211 or ANT 200 or 210 or 220 or 226* or 230 or SPH 116. If the course you plan to take there can transfer in as one of these, then you will need to send your transcripts back to us to bring the official credit in and then apply for graduation."

I don't know what 121 is compared to 101 like every history class I see offered.

What is the name of that course at the school? Check the catalog.

It's calhoun community college. Sure aren't making it easy.
We are all on the same side here, trying to better our lives....so let's get along and help each other out.

Learn a trade. Gain technical skills. Make money, then use this money to get a degree...if you have the desire.

I pulled this from the catalog I linked earlier.
Calhoun CC Wrote:HIS 121 WORLD HISTORY I
(3T) 3 credits
PREREQUISITE: ENG 093 with a “C” or better or satisfactory
ACT, SAT, or RDG placement score
This course surveys social, intellectual, economic, and political
developments which have molded the modern world. Focus
is on both non-western and western civilizations from the
prehistoric to the early modern era.

HIS 122 WORLD HISTORY II
(3T) 3 credits
PREREQUISITE: ENG 093 with a “C” or better or satisfactory
ACT, SAT, or RDG placement score
This course is a continuation of HIS 121; it covers world history,
both western and non-western, from the early modern era to
the present.

HIS 201 UNITED STATES HISTORY I
(3T) 3 credits
PREREQUISITE: ENG 093 with a “C” or better or satisfactory
ACT, SAT, or RDG placement score
This course surveys United States history during colonial,
Revolutionary, early national, and antebellum periods. It
concludes with the Civil War.

HIS 202 UNITED STATES HISTORY II
(3T) 3 credits
PREREQUISITE: ENG 093 with a “C” or better or satisfactory
ACT, SAT, or RDG placement score
This course is a continuation of HIS 201; it surveys United States
history from the Reconstruction era to the present.

That, combined with the CLEP equivalencies from earlier in the catalog:

Calhoun CC Wrote:History of US to 1877 ...........................50 HIS 201 ..................................3
History of US II 1865-present ...............50 HIS 202 ..................................3
Western Civ I ........................................50 HIS 101 ..................................3
Western Civ II .......................................50 HIS 102 ..................................3

seems to me like a CLEP would do it, if they won't take a SL/Shmoop/etc course.

I took History 201 (History before 1877) at NMJC (new mexico jr college) online in February. It was a 5 week course. Cost $200. Passed with an A. It was a breeze.

I think new people are a little worried about revealing where they go to school, but it's the only way to get them the information they are asking.
