I took it two years ago, but I wouldn't think it'd change much. Heavy on math, not really. Heavy on graphs, sort of. You've got to be able to analyze all the typical graph stuff.

Has anyone taken both macro/microeconomics clep and if so did you just use Instancert to study, or what other resources were used?

I used Hall & Lieberman's "Principles and Applications" along with REA's books for each. No IC.

Hi Guys,
i've been preparing for the macro exam with the AP Princeton review and 5 Steps to a 5 (both gleaned from this site) and I've been finding it very difficult on the application side. I feel I understand the concepts when I read the material and watch Kahn videos but the questions in the AP prep books on fiscal and monetary policy are very difficult. Do you have any suggestions? I feel like I need practice and drills to understand their combinations (fiscal and monetary) but I don't know where to grab these combinations from except mining through the textbook I also have with tedious tedious detail. It's all been kind of elusive for me. Thanks for your comments above and input. Hope to join your clep-passed ranks soon. Cheers, James

I took it last December, and it was a very graph-intensive test. There was no algebra or advanced math, however.
Course clear! You got a card.

I took this test 2 weeks ago. There was about 3 questions that required math and there was about 5 questions that had graphs. My test seemed to have a lot of questions about the interest rate. I tried using Intercert but it was not working for me. I used a college textbook and another website that used flashcards to study for this test. I did score a 51 on this test. I felt this was the hardest test that I have taken. Good luck
