Just took my mid-term exam today for the guided-study Thomas Edison course Managerial Communications.
The exam was 15 multiple-choice questions and 2 essays.
Each essay needed to be at least 3 pages long (according to the instructions). Talk about major writer's cramp....Six pages of single-spaced essay writing.

But the essay topics were pretty straightforward, which is a good thing. Overall, I feel great about the exam.
The exam limit was 2 hours, but I finished with about 20 minutes to spare. The exam was proctored at my local public library.
This is my first and last online TESC course, so I didn't know what to expect....Everything else has been accomplished through CLEPs, DSSTs, TECEPs, and one Straighterline course.
Hope this is helpful information to somebody!

Thanks! This course is a 300+ class. Fortunately, my mentor, Marilyn Hatcher, is easy to please and very helpful.

I took my midterm for guided study Global Environmental Change Wednesday. It was thirty multiple-choice question and four essay questions. But no length was required on the essays. I stayed right about a page on all of them even though they gave me tons more room. I hope that doesn't end up hurting me. But honestly 30 questions and four essays in two hours!? How long can you expect me to get? I didn't like the fact that they made me use a pen. I was going to review but I thought there's no use b/c I can't change anything. If I misspelled something in my essay I had to scribble it out. Not very professional. I couldn't go back and re-word a sentence or anything. I really didn't like that.

If they didn't specify an essay length, I suspect you'll be fine having one-page essays. Especially considering you had four to write.
BTW, are you enrolled with CollegePlus? You have made a LOT of progress in 7 months; Congrats!

I was enrolled with CollegePlus, but they didn't really help me. I am independent and self-motivated (and a bit stubborn I must admit). It seemed like they wanted me to be dependent on them and let them know every move I make and ask them before every little decision. I think CollegePlus is great for SOME people, but not me. This forum has been 10x more helpful than CollegePlus.
