I last took biology in the 10th grade -- in 1982 -- and I passed that by the grace of a lecherous teacher, mini skirts and French cut t-shirts.
I took a physical science course in college -- in 1984 -- and I did well, but obviously, I remember none of that after 30 years.
I am in my final semester, and I need to CLEP a science. My abstract math skills are week, so it's down to Bio or Natural Science. My plan is to take one of the tests in 2 weeks, and if I fail it, to study for another 1-2 weeks and take the other. I figure the last safe day I can take a test to get the results to the registrar in time to graduate is on/about 4/15 or 4/16.
Considering that I am starting with virtually no (remembered) knowledge of any of these subjects, which test would you attempt first?

Another thing to keep in mind is that while the biology exam will be strictly biology, the natural science exam will have some biology, but also a little bit of the other sciences. So if you would feel more comfortable only studying biology, maybe you should go with that one. If you want to study several subjects, but not as deeply as biology, then try Natural Sciences. Natural Sciences CLEP is 50% bio and 50% physical science. The physical science has a mix of topics, the bio is straight bio. I think either way, you'll have to study some biology.

I took both and was in a similar situation as you. I did the Bio first and passed, and I failed Natural Science. Natural Science, in my opinion, is too broad to study for with little to no science background.
Bio is hard, but the REA prep book helped IMMENSELY and 2 weeks should be able to give you enough time to pass. I would say go for Bio first, since the Natural Science is half bio anyway. Instacert was great for helping me learn the basics all over again, and the exam feedback on this forum was very in depth!
