cbaranick Wrote:For College Comp, when going to take your exam/write the essays - how are you graded? Do you still know if you passed that day just like the other pass/fail CLEPs?

You will be given a grade from 1-6 on each of your essays, which will then be combined with your score from the multiple-choice section to get your final score. You will only find out your final score, not the specific scores that you got for each of your essays. Nope, you don't get your score back right away - it took about four weeks to get mine back (I got a 62).
CLEPs:
Biology: 64 | College Algebra: 60 | A&IL: 74 | Natural Sciences: 62 | College Comp: 62 | Intro Psychology: 73 | Intro Sociology: 67 | History of the U.S. I: 73 | History of the U.S. II: 65 | Principles of Marketing: 66 | Social Sciences & History: 68 | Humanities: 58

DSSTs:
Environment & Humanity: 59 | Technical Writing: 66 | Public Speaking: 67/Pass | Astronomy: 72

I would rather find other 6 credit CLEPs to do other than College Comp if 1) NAP is not so sure EC accepts it and 2) waiting for 4 weeks for results when I could just take a different one that is just pass or fail and you know immediately.

NAP - I would love to read your feedback on other 6 credit CLEPs, but I am very new to this - where do I go to review them in your 'signature'? lol sorry if I am asking very stupid questions.

It sounds like when figuring out some of this, a good starting point would be to go ahead and take the A&I Lit CLEP. Excelsior is now emailing me telling me that it is time to enroll. Do I need to wait until I complete the enrollment process to go take the A&I Lit CLEP? or can I go ahead and schedule it while I am working on the enrollment process and figuring out what other CLEPs I want to take/study for?

No problem. The link is called "Resources Used - Exams Passed":

At the top of that post is a list of all the exams I have taken. I left feedback for all of them in that order and in that thread, so just keep reading/skimming. I tend to use a lot more resources and time than many members do. (I'll be taking the Marketing CLEP in 2 weeks.)

Yes, you can take the exam before or after you enroll, which ever works best for you. Either way, you can go ahead and send the score to EC at the time you take the exam.
