Wow, Entrepreneurship and Marketing are good options... would you mind posting your courses for each so it would help others, especially the Entrepreneurship AOS. One question: Did they let you use overlapping credits for both AOS?
When I find asked about doing the dual AOS they told me that I would have to do 24 different CH, I then replied with "thanks for the reply, wow, I do wish I could do it like the catalogue and your website says, with no more than 9 CH overlapping in the AOS" and linked to where it says that on the TESU website. That was my only pushback and I had decided not to fight it and just do entrep., to my surprise, the academic advisor took it to the dean of the business school and it was approved to be done as per their website.
I did all the Sophia except the foundations' courses, did not do Art History ll because it wasn't going to help as my electives were full, funny enough Introduction to Business from Sophia which I did do is not actually helping me either..and it's a BSBA .. LOL (NOTE, this was just prior to Sophia adding Business Law and Principles of Finance, so those did not come from Sophia). I also could have skipped Ancient Greek Philosophers at Sophia as it didn't show up in acedemic evual as filling any requirements
I had done the institutes older 2 UL credit ethics class in 2018, right around the time I registered here but never followed thru past registering here and doing that course in a couple of hours. TESU did take that.
I then did the following courses at SDC
Bus 120 International Business
BUS 101 Principles of Management
BUS 202 Intro to e-commerce
FIN 306 Small Bus Fin
BUS 121 Intro to Entrep
POL 103 Comparative politics (this counted for civic engagement)
BUS 111 Principles of Supervision
ACC 102 Intro to Managerial Accounting
Fin 101 Principles of Fin
BUS 315 Logistics and Supply Chain management
MAR 302 Consumer Behaviour
BUS 102 Principles of Marketing
Bus 103 Intr Business law
MAr 301 Marketing Research
BUS 324 Managerial Communications
MAR 303 Global Marketing
MAR 308 Applied Marketing
My thoughts, papers slow me down as I don't enjoy doing them generally, so I avoided them as much as possible.. however... I have decided to do a WGU MBA after this and it will take papers. Between SOS 110 and now on the capstone doing Guided study with MORE papers than the normal capstone, I feel like I am finally not hating them so much and with less time pressure than I put on myself earlier in this journey, find the more research I put in, the easier they are and not so much a chore. Basically, this last bit I have forced myself to stop thinking of papers as a PITA and just do them.
With Sophia and SDC, I can get a high 70's to mid 80's mark going quickly on most of them and moderate effort at best, the subjects that took a bit more effort where it was very quickly apparent that trying to speed thru would result in failing, I slowed down and worked at it. In those classes i got very high 80's to mid 90's. I could have slowed down on all classes and gotten the very high 80's and mid 90's but truthfully as they transfer as a CR, I did not believe it was the most effective use of my time.
SOS 110 was annoying, you can sorta speed thru in some parts, others.. not so much. At some times I felt like it was making me more stupid than before I started the course. I got a final score of 97, but the whole course annoyed me. It isn't exactly hard, can see where it could be easy but for me it wasn't so much. Partly because this was where I realized I had to change my attitude on papers and because the mylab I took a wrong turn in the writing skills and got dragged in before I figured out they allowed two kicks at the test out bucket and tried again. Having done a bunch of hours getting annoyed by the written skills mypath politically correct, subjective BS while still only 1/4 way thru, that at least showed me how the course creators thought and was able to test out on my second attempt. Had I not.. I think i would have cried.
So far the capstone, BUS 421 (GS) isn't exactly teaching anything, lots of writing, but as I posted elsewhere, for whatever reason I am enjoying the research and overdoing it. So far have gotten 100% on all written assignments, and 98% on two case studies, 100% on the third. There is a ton of writing, it is what it is, I am using it to test and cement my internal forced attitude change and look at it as practice for the MBA
The last 3 months, my pace has been slower, partly because the 110 was what it was and partly because once it became apparent that no matter what March would be the grad date, I didn't need to keep the pace up. So some SDC stuff became slower and truthfully, i could have saved myself about $500 had I stayed a bit more focused.
