I am a new user, so please ignore my ignorance (lol). I withdrew from college 10 years ago and now I regret it. I got laid off, and I am finding it hard to find a job. With the instability in the job market I am getting nervous. I need 14 upper division units to get my BS in Management and I need to get it quickly as humanly possible. So, my question is do I only need to subscribe to InstantCert Academy to get the information I need to pass the Dantes tests for those upper division units, or do I need other information? Does CLEP have upper division tests?

1. Relax a bit and don't be hasty. Take your time and figure out EXACTLY what you need to get a degree from a particular school. You could waste a bunch of time and money if you don't plan properly. For example, the upper level credits for CLEP/DANTES at COSC are very different than TESC.
2. You do not need to subscribe to anything to get the information you need to pass. Take your time and spend your money wisely. 3. Which college(s) are you interested in earning a degree from? After you respond to that question, I will respond with more info. Take care. Archie Wrote:I am a new user, so please ignore my ignorance (lol). I went to St. Mary's College of California. The Academic Counselor told me I can take the Dantes Test Civil War and Reconstruction for 3 units. However, it will take him a couple of days to get back to me on the other Dantes tests that I can take for credit towards graduation. He has never heard of Excelsior, but says he thinks TESC tests can count towards graduation. I am trying to find all of the upper division tests that I can take so I can send him a list. From that list he can pick which ones St. Marys will accept. Then I have 14 units of tests that I can start working on. I guess that's the plan. hilarious

I'd suggest you visit the DSST site for a lisiting of exams and decide if any of their upper level tests meet your needs. DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com Good luck.

U need to take the initiative to find out which exams they will take. Get a copy of the catalog. Check the web. Do your own homework. This board is littered with people being jerked around by advisors who don't know squat.
In the end u may need to consider transferring to one of the Big 3.
