I have been going to UoP for about 8 classes now. Given my Military credits I have about 50 credits. I need to CLEP or DSST:
Humanities-6 credits
Social Science-3 credits
Additional Liberal Arts-6 credits
Which tests should I do that will build my confidence and count towards what I need (the easier ones). Any personal notes or study material would be great. Not very smart but still breathing.

Kyle, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that you have to go thru UoP (just kidding :roflol: )
One of the most famous exams that members feel is easiest is Analyzing and Interpreting Literature CLEP for 6 SH. I would also attempt the Social Sciences and History CLEP for 6 SH, it covers about 6 different subject areas and is very broad. So there is no deep studying for it that is required in my opinion.
As far as study material, I have to suggest you try the Instantcert flashcards, the REA CLEP books, Petersons practice exams, and freeclepprep.com
What degree are you trying to get thru UoP and what exactly do you have left to satisfy that you can test out of?

:iagree: except instead of the Social Science and history I would say start with Intro to Sociology or Psychology I thought they were easier.
Why do you put yourself down, you must be smart enough to have earned 50 credits and to have found this forum
Thank you for your service :patriot: T
his forum is the best place for CLEP/DSST advice

I always tell people test what they know. Meaning if you are good at computers take the Clep Or DSST Intro to Computers. If you enjoy reading then look at A&I Lit. LindaGerr suggested Intro to Soc or Intro to Psy. Those are both really good exams to build from. Because if you get the Psy exam you probably would not have much of a problem passing Clep Ed Psy and Human Growth and Development.
Also I have heard that DSST Intro to Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice are not so bad. DSST Heres to your Health and DSST Substance Abuse are fairly easy. Alittle study on IC and you should be good to go.

I am soo glad I found this site and forum. I wouldn't say I'm putting myself down, I guess I just don't have very good study techniques or habits. In turn I do need to CLEP/DSST out to put a closer end date to my degree. Alleycat I do like what you said about test on what you know. Very good point. Clep 101, I know UoP sucks and very expensive, but they do offer 5 week classes. Do you have any other options for me. I want to thank everyone for their advice and help. I will use all of it. One quick question what does SH mean Clep101?

From context looks like he means Semester Hours. Some tests are 6 SH, the rest are 3 SH.

Environmental Science is a great area to enter now. It is becoming bigger and bigger. The only drawback is you can not test out of most of the area of study requirements.
Why don't you post what credits you have now and then someone here can help you decide what test you can take to speed things up. We have had people here go 0-120 credits in under a year ( a couple even faster). So it can be done.
