A state university degree that's NA? Weird. I hope they are going to go for the RA. A state university degree that's not RA is really strange.

Hold up. The eversity credits are much cheaper. Are they pretty much going to be the same thing in the end? I am confused.

Only current Eversity students lock in the Eversity rate and unfortunately they stopped enrolling students & are ceasing operations

I think it’s kind of neat that it’s a State NA school. Helps further blur the lines of distinction between NA and RA, and might help some people snag some jobs.

I used to care a lot more about RA vs NA, but I don’t really care anymore. Before I was anticipating being a professor, but those plans have changed. My wife is currently enrolled at Penn Foster for the AS Vet Tech program and I’m actually super excited for her and supportive. Penn Foster has the National Vet Tech accreditation and is only one of a handful of distance providers that actually has that accreditation. Most on the list are RA, except Penn Foster and Ashworth. I kind of have a soft spot in my heart for Penn Foster though. Actively helping needy communities since 1890 and they’ve managed to keep their name out of the mud unlike UoPx

If it gets you where you need to go and has some sort of accreditation, I say go for it. I was looking at Grantham in the most graduate transfer credits thread and it doesn’t look too shabby. If they have something I need down the line I wouldn’t hesitate.

Transferring becomes an issue. Many schools still only accept RA credits. Grad schools can also be an issue because many require a bachelor's degree from an RA school.

Penn Foster hasn't always been squeaky clean. Bankruptcy. Sold off several times. The reviews aren't great either. It's also a for-profit which tends to be frowned upon.

I would put money on them eventually seeking RA, but I guess stranger things have happened.

Gotcha.  Grantham remains on my short list of possibilities for a Masters program because I would qualify for their First Responders rate.  It will just depend on what I decide to do if/when I get to that point.
