It all just seems too good to be true. I guess we'll see.

[/quote] I have seen people on the forum question whether or not the diploma and/or transcript would say that their degree was an "online degree" because they were trying to avoid that stigma (I believe the complaint may have been about Patten possibly). My question is...if an employer actually wants to see your transcript for some reason, will they see where the credit sources are from? Will I have "onlinedegree.com" all over my transcript and have it look less legit? I was already wondering if I would have to explain sources like SL or ed4credit on a transcript. Forgive my ignorance, maybe the transcript just lists the course and not the source? We won't know absolutely for sure until people start transferring courses in but those courses are already approved by NCCRS, which is accepted by at least the big 3. OD also already developed guaranteed transfer agreements with excelsior, trident, ashworth and SNHU(this list seems to grow every few weeks). For context, it felt too good to be true that I could finish 6 courses completely free from study.com but I did and they transferred perfectly to TESU. I also managed to complete 5 courses through Sophia completely free. I've also been knocking out CLEPs completely free. If you're looking into a graduate school program, they will typically want to see original transcripts from all academic sources, so you can't hide or "launder" your credits. Something to keep in mind. My suggestion, is that if someone is ashamed of alternative credits, online degrees, or degrees from the big 3, don't do it. It would be a waste of your time and you shouldn't have to try and deceive employers about the nature of your degree. You should be able to proudly own your degree if questioned about it. They can make their choice about if they think your degree is worthy but more than likely, they will decide if they think the candidate is worthy. After all, they're not hiring your piece of paper, they're hiring the person. You get out of something what you put into it, so if someone did the bare minimum or cheated their way through a degree and/or tried to hide the nature of their degree(online/alternative sources), then it will most likely show and they won't likely be hired.

Stick around, you might find some very valuable info. Here is what ,my transcript looks like from TESU. Note that it indicates I reccieved credits from Chaffey College, Patten University, ACE, NCCRS, and TESU... but it doesn't say WHICH providers from ACE or NCCRS (such as Study.com, Coopersmith, etc) Image: http://i.imgur.com/61U9RAt.jpg

Thanks! That's what I was looking for as well! Woo Hoo, for me, it'll mainly say TESU, TESU-ACE, TESU-NCCRS
I wouldn't want them to display where the courses were taken from either, they don't need to know what ACE/NCCRS provider there is that I took the courses from. That also puts my mind at ease, haha! Just awesome!

Hmm, I think I answered that in post #83. Basically just like Davar, Saylor/Study.com - courses from these providers that are NCCRS - the transcript comes from those course providers directly to the institution you want to transfer to. That's the "Free" option, it doesn't need to go through Excelsior. It's actually not credit laundering, it's credit banking. COSC/TESU charge a hefty fee for banking with them, I guess they decided Excelsior as it is much cheaper.
