I'm with you. That is hosed up a little bit. Darned near 3000 dollars, for only taking one course from them. I suppose the proper way to view this is that they are putting a package together so to speak, taking all these credits, and distance learning, military, pla's, bunching them up, of course, you did all the work, all so they can grant you a degree from their college. Great business for the college, and in the long run, apparantly, saved you a bunch of money from having to go to a regular college that does nothing but rape you these days. Do you want to spend 3000 plus or do you want to spend 100,000 going somewhere ivy?

$280 Graduation Fee
According to the link, so even if I'm only enrolled for one semester out-of-state for that Cornerstone, it would still cost me that much? I figure that Enrollment fee would be for multiple semesters?
I did take A&I Literature, which is ENGL 1102 at SPSU. Is it not equivalent at TESC?

Even with the $800 or so dollar Cornerstone COSC will likely be the cheapest....if you bring in all the rest you should be around $1600-$1800 for the class and fee's through one semester.
Honestly, I don't know if the return is there. I encourage people to grab an AA/AS if it's incidental to their Bachelors plan...or if specific training equates to an AS...like nursing. but a general AA for it's own sake...nah, not really worth it IMO. Just buckle down and get the BA/BS completed.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

That's more or less what I'm looking for, something actually computer-related so it could help me out at my current workplace while still pursuing my Bachelors of Science while I'm at SPSU (I'm in IT).
EDIT: Say I go with COSC, what are the actual degree requirements? I can't find exact specifics on what I need to have done.

.........
If that's the case, can you get one within the next year from either of the colleges you are currently attending when you have some computing credits?
Rebel can help you with COSC.

Bachelors would be within at least two years (depending on my course load with work).
But Associates, yeah could definitely wait. I'm just weighing out my options and just trying to improve my resume and potentially add more job security.

Rebel, pardon my ignorance, does COSC offer associate degrees in computing?
If not, Vernon, it looks like you would need Ethics DSST, Technical Writing DSST, Info Lit, and Cornerstone course to finish an AA or AS at COSC.

COSC only has an AS and AA in general studies. That's why I said one would have to go with EC or TESC for a major or concentration.

I did not realize that. Thank you for taking the time to restate it.

COSC doesn't put the major on any diploma....to view the concentration an employer or other school would have to look at what you studied via your transcript.
For an AA you will need 45 liberal arts credits plus 15 basically free electives.
For an AS you will need 30 liberal arts credits plus 30 free electives/applied professional credits.
For either you will have to take all of COSC's gen-eds (I'm pretty sure).
