I read your post and couldn't understand why you were having such difficulty. So I did the next best thing...I called myself!!!
I called the number I told you to call...pressed option #1, and asked to speak to Wendy. You got someone named Bill. Wendy told me that some of their advisors also do "high school" courses too so they have a "high school course catalog" and a "college course catog." Bill was definitely looking in the HIGH SCHOOL catalog. Which explains why he couldn't find the course.
So the next time you call...if by chance you don't get Wendy...tell the person that you want to sign up for the Managerial Accounting COLLEGE course!!!
Enjoy!!!
From a loyal degree seeker,
Marshall
Sorry for not getting back sooner. I'm willing to bet what Marshall just wrote would've worked too, but I got a response from Tom Hunt at Penn Foster via email. Joel was right Tom is super quick with responses via email. He was ready to have me and my 2 co-workers enrolled by the next day.
So I made a note for the future if this comes up again:
To Enroll in 1 course at Penn Foster:
- Call 800-961-6407 and choose option 1 tell them you want to enroll in a COLLEGE course or ask for Wendy
- if you can't get help from the 800# email: [email protected]
Thanks for all the quick answers!!

Hi all,
Just wanted to add that I had to contact PF the other day to request an extension on my Managerial Communications course - don't even get me started on why I am so unmotivated to finish the darn thing  - and the response I got was awesome.
I sent an email through their Business and Industrial Customer Service area and got a response within 24 hours. I also called (because I wasn't at my computer and didn't know they had already sent an email) and spoke to Marianne at the 800# in Marshall's post. She was wonderful to deal with and hooked me up immediately. Now, I just have to get my act together and finish the last exam.
Thanks,
Kelly

I plan on taking 3 courses to satisfy my degree requirements at TESC: Intro to C Programming, Systems Design, and Structured Systems Analysis. After I complete the courses, do I send the PF transcripts to ACE and then send the ACE transcript to TESC? Or can I simply send the PF transcripts to TESC? Or both?

Check with your TESC advisor to see if they will accept those PFC courses before you enroll.

Just a little bump for those trying to sign up for individual courses at Penn Foster.
Thanks to this forum, I asked for and received pre-approval to use PF's ENG*103 course for the information literacy credit. I called PF on Thursday at the 1-800-233-0259 number and got through to a live person (Maribeth? Marianne? very helpful whoever she was!) on the second try. About three minutes later, my $90 order was being processed. PF emailed my student number a couple hours later, and I logged in to download the course materials (a PDF).
Did my bits of research during lunch today, completed the project and exam online - poof, 1-credit in information literacy in under an hour. Even had some time left over to actually eat lunch!
So a big thank you to everyone who posted earlier about PF's info literacy course. That saved enough cash to pay for two DSSTs including the test center fees...

Just wanted to continue to keep this information updated. Cost $90, had link to site within 24 hours, started reading and with multiple home interruptions still finished reading it somewhere between 5-6 hours. I wanted to read it all. As I've mentioned, I'm one of the more mature people finally getting my degree and I was sure I could learn something. Remember, when I learned research it was when there were only county Public Libraries and school libraries--using the Dewey Decimal system only. I'm sure for many of you this will just be a quick review but I'm sure it will help me with easier ways to find things on the net. Did the test first from the text material and the project. Then went in and put in the answers. Passed.
Sure beats $300 at Excelsior and as stated above the difference will cover 2 more CLEP or DSST tests.

EC will take a transcript directly from PF. TESC wants it through an ACE transcript. I do not know about Charter Oak.
For the record, I had the same very positive experience as some of the others. Paid in the afternoon. Did the course online that evening. PF quickly sent (an incorrect transcript) to EC which was a minor pain. One call and they corrected it that day. Mistakes happen, the way it was handled was professional and fast.
Note: Never contact the regular admissions dept. for single courses. They do not have a clue. Always contact the Workforce or Business and Industrial (I forget the name) department. I dealt with Tom.
