Has anyone out there taken the Principles of Management or have any tips on different sites to study from? I test on 13 Oct and I used the Petersons site for a DANTES (Management Information Systems) and it was no help at all! I actually studied a lot and was totally blown away by the exam and not in a good way. Anyway, any tips would be great. Thanks!

Sorry, not much help from me. I had taken Principles of Management at a community college but then took Principles of Supervision.....they really overlap A LOT! The cards, together with having had the previous class was more than enough to do really well on the test, though.
So, it may come down to how much exposure you have had in related fields. If you need more credits, though, definitely take the other one too. One thing you learn here is how to double up on similar subjects so they are not as hard to do and get more bang for the buck.
Hopefully you can get more help from another forum member

I've heard that the IC flashcards are sufficient for this exam, if you're a subscriber. I actually took this test 'cold', in the sense that I didn't study for it specifically. I took this one AFTER I took the upper level management exams (Human Resources, Org. Behavior) so I knew all the important stuff already and most anything I didn't know specifically I could reason out.
The previous poster is right, there is a lot of overlap with Supervision.
I'm sorry, but I don't have any experience with non-IC study material for this exam. I actually went and bought the Barron's Management book, but never had to use it, so I can't give a recommend on that either way. My advice is to jump on IC. It's worth it.
They should really give us commissions for this.

just passed this test thursday, it was fairly easy. IC was more than enough. If you've ever held a job you should have no problem with this exam.

Hey there, i took this and it is not to bad at all. Just think common sense(don't over think it!) and let it come to you. I understand how it looks stressful in the beginning, but once you get done with it, you'll be smiling ;-). Good luck!
