Hello Everybody, I live in Georgia and was wondering if there are any regionally accredited online schools here that offer accounting classes. I have taken a bunch of cleps/dantes and am interested in Thomas Edison, but I was wondering if I could shave some of the tuition costs at TESC by taking in-state online courses. Any school would have to be cheaper than $212 a credit hour as this is Thomas Edison's rate. Any suggestions?

Independent Study in Idaho around $110/cr
Online Course Catalog - BYU Independent Study Around $160/cr
Straighterline works at TESC Online College Courses - Take College Courses Through Our Distance Learning Courses - StraighterLine Can be as low as $40-$50/cr
New Mexico Junior College and Clovis CC might have some upcoming, but they would follow the regular school year.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

The independent study courses and Straighterline are probably the best choices.
If you still want more online choices, all of the schools with a green "E" offer in-state rates to online students. The two links look identical, but they're different.

The cost in Georgia seem rather high, even for in-state. I would like to know if you find an affordable online in-state college <$200/cr. Even at the CC level.

If you click on the course links, they give you the cost per course. An online course at Baton Rouge Community College costs $122 per credit or $366 total plus a $40 fee. The downside is that all of the courses in my links are probably term-based while independent study courses and Straighterline allow you to work at your own pace and start any time.
Welcome to BRCC
BRCC doesn't really offer in-state tuition to online students, it just offers a flat rate to all online students. It's still pretty cheap.

In addition to the aformentioned schools, take a look at LSU or the University of North Alabama for your UL accounting courses.

Another Georgia option would be Georgia Virtual Technical Connection > Home It's online/distance learning classes with all of the 2yr Georgia technical colleges. They're all regionally accredited and offer in-state technical community college tuition for lower level classes.
