teacher2 Wrote:Know this is a close to midnight hour code. Code ALUMNITHANKS works for $50 off with membership good till 4/30/2017. You can check to see if it works with two courses in the cart. I am not sure though cause I haven't a membership right now.
Anyone try this and see if it works? Just wondering where you got this from?
I just tried it with my membership... failed, tried it as if I was setting up a new account, it failed too.
I've completed a few more courses from SL and each time I finish, they keep sending me coupons for $50 off.
THEY DON'T WORK as I've used those coupons once already, each course I finish I keep getting that coupon!
I have another question though, haha, this is too funky to ask, but I'll do so anyways...
As I would like to take more classes with them, should I ask for that $50 off?
I am thinking of taking unnecessary courses that don't transfer, but I just want the skills for it.
Like CPR/First Aid, Pharmacology I and II, Calculus I and II, etc... I will need more of those coupons.

They sent it as a thank you for completing their survey. I tried it and it applied. I had to be signed into my account for it to work. Know what you mean about the "$50 off your next course" circle.

Crap! I knew sometimes their "surveys" would come in handy! I think it's only linked to accounts that have done their survey.
Strange, never did any of their surveys before... oh wells, I tried it a couple of times with one course, two course, same thing... failed.
Let me dig through my emails and see if there are any *sigh*, I have used practically all the coupons I can get my hands on...

Unsure if this is linked to just my account, but THANKS50 saved me $50 bucks with no other requirement. Just added once course, applied coupon, and smiled.

The HOMESCHOOL50 will work with an existing account- I used it for both my kids.

Here's what I want to do: Open a new SL account for my son (he's never done SL) and use at least two discount codes. One on the membership and the other on a course, or even a B1G1 on two courses. Prior to creating the account, I put only the membership in the cart and applied the promo codes given in this thread, plus all the ones I found on RetailMeNot and it said each of the codes was invalid. What am I doing wrong? Should I create him a login first?
Need to max out my discounts. Should I wait for SL to open on Monday and phone them? Please advise.
I came to this forum researching for my now 17-yr-old son who was earning credits via testing and online courses. He completed TESU's BUS-421 in March 2018, the capstone for the TESU BSBA GM degree. Below are the courses he took:
Study.com: Business 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 113, 121, 308, 309; Economics 101, 102; Finance 101, 102; History 103, 104, 106, 108; Math 103; Political Science 102; Religion 101; Geology 101; Nutrition 101; Chemistry 101; English 305
SL: Intro to Communications, Accounting 1&2, Financial Accounting
ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, PreCalculus, Statistics
TEEX: Cybersecurity 101, 102, 103
Sophia: Developing Effective Teams
312N-H Ethics & the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct
Community College: English 101 & 102, Calculus 1
TESU: MAT-105 Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP, BUS-421-OL BSBA Capstone Course (January 2018 term)

You can only use 1 code per transaction. So, create an account and put in 1 class- use a code for that transaction (HOMESCHOOL50 works for sure) and then the next time you buy a class, use a code for that one. I used several codes with my 10th grader. I just posted on my blog today the exact costs and codes I used if you're interested the link is in my siggy. He earned 39 credits this semester and we spent about $1200.

Ok, so you need to buy one course and a membership with a code, then later buy another course with another code, then continue until you're out of codes, correct?

So far that is what has worked for me. 1st order was membership + 1 course = used 1 coupon a few weeks ago. Then just bought 2 more courses and used coupon, took $100 off, paid $18 bucks.
