My 17 year old just submitted her term paper for CE 231 - Intro to Christian Ethics, which completes her final course to transfer to Charter Oak State College. CE 231 is offered by Seminary Extension and is ACE Evaluated for 3 credits in Ethics or Religion. This course will fulfill Charter Oak's ethics requirement. Assuming successful completion, my daughter will have an AA at 17 years + 3 months of age.
She plans to attend Southern Virginia University in the Fall. At Southern Virginia University, she was awarded a Marriott Scholarship, which is the most competitive scholarship at the University. In addition, she was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, at Clovis Community College. PTK is the official honor society for two-year colleges.
Although most of my time has been over at Degree Info, there are still many people here that have offered pointers, advice, etc. This accomplishment means more to me than my doctorate. Thanks again!

Congrats to you and your daughter Shawn. What will she be majoring in at Southern Virginia University? Do they have any scholarships for Phi Theta Kappa at that school? I know several of our local schools have pretty decent scholarships for a Kappa transfer. Once again congrats, it is so hard having them grow up.

Congratulations!!! That is such a sweet thing to say about your daughter's achievements! I have been impressed by her journey and I thank you for sharing it with us.
Also, thank you for offering lots of great information on this forum. I've learned about school grants and Thinkwell for Calculus from you.

She's planning to be a liberal arts major.
SVU does not have a PTK scholarship. Although "old" the school is relatively new.
