Congratulations to your daughter! This is why I recommend precalculus after algebra, it's a natural progression. I initially tried trig and found it cumbersome so went with precalc and it was a smooth transition.

I preferred college algebra with trig to college algebra and precalculus to trigonometry. Just my experience.

You appear to have some really smart and disciplined children. From another thread I recall that you are really and rightfully concerned about college costs. However, I would like you to consider that you may be fortunate enough to have 95% level talent. If their SATs come in at 1300+ I can't think of any top schools that won't want to recruit them. These schools will find a way to provide scholarships and financial aid that will work for your family. The CLEPS will most likely be accepted for credit. The DSSTs will allow for advanced placement in a sequential course. And the ALEKS math will meet the pre-req. for immediate placement into Calculus. Think along these terms to keep all your options open.
