Along with the updated resume,
and maybe getting some job experience.
I was thinking,
maybe find an inexpensive
----Business certificate----
where the credits can ,
later apply towards a future degree?

That can work, such as getting the Coursera/TADA offerings for Project Management or something similar and laddering those freebies into a degree at UMPI... I would also work on getting the trifecta, a mix/match of certs, degree, experience to 'fluff up' the resume if it's not that difficult.
