Selective Transfer Policy at Excelsior College???
#11
Sorry to necro an older thread, but I'd like a little clarification on the process to remove old classes with subpar grades from the transcript.

Do you have to fill out a request and provide a valid reason to have the class removed or do you just say 'Hey, I don't want this stuff on my transcript, take it off please'?

Just curious... I submitted a transcript with 3 credits on it that I actually want to use, but it also had a bunch of courses that I'd attempted over the years where I'd ended up sucumbing to my ADD and basically attended a couple of the classes and then got bored and didn't go back to them, but didn't withdraw, either... Yeah, that blows my gpa all to heck, and I'd like to get that cleaned up.

Just curious about how many hoops I'm going to have to jump through when I can finally enroll... Which hopefully will be in a little more than a week... (though I'd prefer sooner... Hehe.. I'm chomping at the bit to get goiing.)

Thanks

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.

Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

I emailed my adviser to remove two classes and she did. I don't think you need a reason other than that you don't want them. You could always just tell them that you don't think they accurately reflect your academic career. You have up to 30 days after your initial evaluation (this is done after enrolling, so don't confuse it with the unofficial evaluation) to make changes, such as dropping courses from your transcript.

If your grades are below "C" they won't be accepted to begin with.
75 credits in four months using InstantCert.

B.S. Liberal Arts, Excelsior College, cum laude.

Plus, one Washington Post blurb here.
