I'm curious to know if there's some "secret" to getting this scholarship? Or, is it pretty random?

Just sign up for it and see how things go, expect a few days to a couple of weeks for a response. If none after 3 weeks, you can PM them on here, provide them your details and they'll follow up.

While I expect that they will get another affiliation thing going at that time, I doubt TESU will again do it for an amount, but rather for a percentage. This time around, they said it was to be a 10% discount, but then put the amount of $1800 (which was $10% off the $2000 fee that it was at that moment). Then, they raised the fee to $2500, but had already signed off on the amount, otherwise it would have been $2250. They made a mistake that I'm willing to bet they won't make again.

Sorry to be late to the party.... But, could you guys explain how this study.com discount works? If I apply for enrollment at TESU sometime this week & start working on my study.com courses over the summer, can I still get the discount? (Is there a minimum number of courses/ months that I need to enroll w/ study.com to be eligible?)
Is there a link on their website that explains the discount? (I've been searching, but I'm coming up empty.)

When you apply to TESU tell them on the application that you are an affiliate member with study.com. They automatically enter your app with a code. Then when you apply for the capstone they discount it. They discount the residency waiver and grad fee. I don't believe there is a min. #of courses you have to take. Even the scholarship qualifies you. I do not believe there is a link on any website that I've found except this one but I know it worked when I applied a few months ago and both organizations confirmed it.

I thought it was a 10% discount, or something like that. The price listed there is a HUGE discount. It's a discount even off of the in-state pricing. If that's what out-of-state pricing is, then you'd be nuts not to take advantage of it!!! If anyone is considering the Comprehensive plan, and this is correct, NOW is the time to take advantage of it. Especially if you want to do a degree in something more difficult to get like Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Biology or something else where you need expensive UL courses. This is getting down to the pricing of a year of WGU, but with a lot more options.

Yeah, I won't be surprised to find out this page is inaccurate.

Now, how does this affiliate program work? If I'm on study.com when I apply to TESU, then I can say I'm an affiliate. But, what if I'm done w/ study.com two months later? Am I still guaranteed all these great discounts - for the duration of all my years at TESU? That seems like the deal of the century. Surely there's a catch...? |
