Sociology Clep worried!!!!!
#1
Wondering if anyone thought this exam was difficult? I got the REA Clep review book and have read through an intro soc book but I dont know if I'm prepared enough to take this test yet. I've also been doing the flash cards on here. Any advice would be helpful!!!!!

It's one of the easier exams. Check out the Specific Exam Feedback section for really good advice. Or, try doing a search of previous threads. Good luck!

I would personally say, review the explanations at instant cert as well as the questions. You should pass with flying colors. I dont know what kind of score you have to get on this test. I needed a pass and did very well with just IC.

All the best
Cool

I took this exam last month. It wasn't the difficult. I would recommend that you review the specific feedback and also do the Peterson's practice tests. I like using those to gauge my progress. They also give you the answer rationales which help. If you have reviewed the IC cards and feel you know the material try the practice exams and see how you do. I usually do 2 out of the 3 exams offered. Good luck! You should do fine!

The REA CLEP book is excellent. Do the two tests on the CD, after each one check your answers to all questions, reading the explanations. Then, a few hours later or the next day sit exactly the same test again.

Check the video link in my sig for a great online lecture on sociology that may help put everything together for you. I used only the first test on the REA CD and the online video over 2 days so provided you read the explanations you are in with a good chance.

Good luck!

The REA is a very good resource. Reading the intro text book should be quite helpful as well. It sounds like you have invested the time and effort to prepare well for the exam and that is the key to whether this or any exam will be difficult or easy for you.

Best wishes.
