I got the email today. This is the best deal out there. I've finished most of the courses but still have a few left. I'll definitely be buying this to finish off the rest and to show them some support.

We hope you're enjoying your free Sophia courses. Can you feel the momentum you're gaining? Keep up the good work!

Even though your free access to new Sophia courses has ended*, rest assured that we're just getting started.

In our dedication to helping students lower the cost of their degree, we're now offering our courses through a subscription membership.
With your membership, you'll have on demand access to all Sophia courses and be able to take them whenever you want.

Imagine being able to complete multiple general education courses in a month for one flat fee. Or even better, being able to complete them all in a year, helping to offset the cost of your degree.

This new subscription is available to everyone for $79/month. But, as a thank-you, we want to extend an exciting offer:

You can enjoy an annual subscription for only $149, a savings of over $790 off our monthly subscription price.

With a Sophia membership, you get access to Sophia's entire catalog of ACE CREDIT-recommended courses—you can complete as many as you want in your subscription period, taking up to two at a time.

This exclusive annual membership offer is only available through August 31.

Start your subscription today and continue working towards your goals.

They also state that when you buy a year you’ll get a year membership to give away to someone, buy 1 get 1

I only have to take Principles of Finances, 149$ for one course is not as good deal, i can take it cheaper somewhere else...

Anyway i will pay 149$ as thanks for what they did for me.

They demonstrated a totally honest business system, especially allowing us to continue with our enrolled courses free of charge (Until yesterday I suspected that they are going to charge a subscription to allow me to continue with my 2 courses still active).

Therefore, while I hope new courses, I don't care about this ... I am in.

No they are not charging you for the courses you were enrolled in on July 31st. The fees only apply to courses enrolled after July 31st.

I wouldn't expect support to know about future courses. Two classes were added this week. There probably will be more classes, but they have to be developed and approved by ACE which takes time. They have been adding classes every year.

I wonder if the subscription means there is no longer a 60 day time limit to complete classes, assuming you are paying the monthly fee. It says "take them whenever you want" under your subscription, so does that mean you can take as long as you want to finish them? Like, could you use one active course and take your time on it while you race through and cycle out the second active course? Only asking because I couldn't finish one, and having more time would have helped.

On Monday the chat feature should be open again. Ask them if you can have the class reactivated. Worst thing they can do is say no. During the free period I was able to have classes reset after I dropped them.
