I'd like to hear an update from anyone doing the South DBA as well. I'm interested in doing this program, but since it's new, the first impressions of those who are currently in goes a long way

Agreed! I'd love to hear from anyone doing the DBA! I heard from 2 people on FB about the EdD and 1 of those 2 dropped out.

There's a Facebook group for SC's CBE doctorates. Not a ton of posts recently, but there is still some discussion on there. Seems like it rarely comes up on here.

There is a lot of talk on accreditation on the South College Facebook forum. Has something changed in their accreditation? Several posts promote a theme that the Department of Education no longer distinguishes from RA/NA and considers a school institutionally accredited. I am not sure if this is word Yahtzee too often used in the NA / RA value talk or possibly something new to me. However, I was more interested in if South College is no longer RA accredited.

Not sure what the talk is about on fb, but South College is regionally accredited. It is true that at the federal level, there is no longer a distinction between NA and RA -- but within academic institutions themselves (as far as credit transfer acceptance, faculty credentials), and at the state level for some state's licensing programs and professional bodies, this distinction is still made.

Before starting Liberty for my DBA, I enrolled and went through the first part of the process to find out the program I want was only on-campus and I had to be in Knoxville. This was disappointing, due to the fact their websites promoted it as completely online. Nice enough enrollment counselor.
