Good Afternoon Everybody,
I am looking for affordable Upper Level UnderGrad or Graduate Spanish Credit that can be started and completed between now and end of July. It has to have the SPAN prefix or equivalent, as my wife has 18 credits but needs 30 total (at least 6 more upper level or graduate to complete her credit requirements to teach Spanish in a local school district, job offer pending the credits to add on the endorsement once credits are complete. I have searched around and either it has been very little with the correct prefix or strict availability or very expensive (which our budget can not currently support). If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I have looked at IDOMA, but it seems most courses are not transcribed as a SPAN prefix. Local CC only have lower level credit available.
Thanks again for any help!

Columbia College (Missouri) has online upper-level Spanish courses for their online BA in Spanish Language and Cultures at decent tuition; not sure how their scheduling works re your constraint.

For starters, I'd check your local state universities to compare their online tuition pricing, then review the WIKI for foreign language credits here, it may have options that are cheaper than in state online pricing: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Obscure_Credits

Georgia Southern University offers online SPAN ULs at reasonable tuition which are part of their online BA in World Languages and Cultures.

I haven't attempted getting my 3 UNAM CEPE classes evaluated, but the various culture and literature classes I have taken were all real fun, enriching and the cinema class was a 1 credit freebie. There is going to be a freebie art appreciation class starting next May. From past experiences, they usually have a weekly or biweekly zoom class at a specified hour when you sign up. Some classes will have an essay halfway through and others just a final project where you do your own research and write it down. Unless specified, the classes will be 100% in Spanish and teachers will expect students to be at least intermediate speakers that feel comfortable with their listening skills.
Recalling the classes I took in the past that incurred a fee, it was around 1000 mxn per credit, around 50 USD at the current exchange rate. Just open an account for free, look at the offered classes and take advantage of the freebies for the May-June session. UNAM is a prestigious school, so the classes should be RA equivalent, just don't know whether they will be catalogued as lower or higher division.

https://cepe.unam.mx/ Their offerings look amazing. Not what you were talking about, but the intensive intermediate and upper level Spanish courses look very tempting. In terms of any of their classes, do you need to present evidence of your current level, or do they just trust you to pick the appropriate one. (If this is too off-topic, I can start a new thread.)

I think I am the only person on this forum that has taken courses with them. The Spanish fluency requirement limits the number of potential students. You can send them an email Monday when they return from Spring Break and ask about signup requirements for their Spanish classes. I am already fully fluent and nobody asked me for language mastery proof so I don't know. Only that once tou finish a class, they send you a digital transcript with your grade by email. Since this school branch caters to foreign exchange students, I am sure they are used to sending transcripts to colleges for evaluations.

Thank you! Transcript isn't a concern for me. I'll get in touch with them.
