All,
I am signing up for Chemistry and Bio and their respective labs. BIO101L and CHEM101L Does anyone have a list of contents needed for the labs? I am looking to possibly buy the items myself instead of the kit online which seems expensive shipping at $40 for both kits. Is it possible for me to even buy the materials, or is it just not worth the hassle, and just bite the bullet?
thanks!

The website for the labs doesn't list the contents, but it shows a picture of something similar (or the same) as what you're getting. And, I have to say, I would think that some of the materials would be difficult to find. Since you probably can't find the stuff all in 1 place, you would start to pay shipping for several shipments, which would start to add up.
I homeschool my kids, and I also have issues with science labs. Especially considering that many items on the list are already in my kitchen. So it makes sense for me to try to find only the items I need. But, I will say that it has been difficult to do so for some items. Bean bag filler - I could only find it on Amazon in 30-lb bags, when all I needed was a cup of it. I could find it other places at smaller sizes, but the price was high, or else the shipping was high. I order from HomeScience Tools, and they have been really great about letting me customize the order so that I can leave off what I already have.
I think that your best bet is to call eScience Labs directly and talk to an actual, real live person. Ask about the contents list. Ask about getting a discount on shipping for 2 kits. And ask about the price of the Lab Manual. If they want to charge you $75 for it, or something crazy, it would not be worth the effort to try to find everything on the list for less.
Good luck!

If you've signed up already you should be able to go in and look at the lab requirements and see the materials covered. I personally felt my lab kit was a joke as I didn't use everything in it.
