Yes that was recommended to us. Some of us are going to do it. I would guess we can't register for the June TECEP until after taking the May TECEP. Also it can take weeks to get our pass/fail status from the May one. The time to get it graded varies.

"You can register for the same tecep twice- let me explain I signed up for my first tecep in December or January and right before I took the test I was worried I might fail so I signed up for the upcoming tecep. I ended up passing the first tecep and was able to get a full refund credited back to me because I was within the period."

If I take the exam early in the term would I be able to retake it if I fail? Thanks in advance!

I was just looking at the course schedule for the Business Administration Capstone(BUS-421-TE). Looks like they are having tecep exams all the way through the September semester. Good news for people that still need to take it.

The blurb on the website states different term,* which can simply mean the following month as TESU terms begin every month. I would email the testing department to confirm. They have always been extremely helpful to student requests/needs. I would imagine them being even more flexible since this exam is due to expire soon. Folks should not be afraid to contact the school directly. The board can offer advice or recommendations but we don't know what is going on behind the scenes at the school.
*Edit to add: It's been awhile since I was a registered student, and honestly not sure about current cost for retakes so will refrain from commenting further. The rest of the statement still holds true. Back to my corner*
I would still contact the testing department and ask them if they would expedite grading and scheduling a retake, if necessary, given the circumstances. You would be surprised at the concessions TESU makes for their students; the actual term is exceptions. TESU has a reputation of being quite generous in expediting requests from students graduating in the near future. This statement I stand by as I have walked quite a few students through the graduation steps over the past few years and nothing has changed.
* If you do not pass a TECEP exam the first time, you can take it one more time in a different term. Thomas Edison State University: TECEPÂ Policies and Contact Info

Is it really actually free though? It says under that, to retake the exam you have to pay the registration fee.

I could be confusing schools. Still advise calling testing department.

That's what I thought, so I was confused when bricbrac mentioned a free retake.
Edit: wow, that's really confusing and unclear wording on their part.

Maybe something has changed, or am I confusing schools? I don't have time to go back and research old catalogs right now. But I remember two students having to retake and there was no additional charge. Even I myself had to have an exam sent a second time (proctors fault not mine) and they simply sent it out, without issue.
