When I study using IC, I go through the flashcards and then do sets consecutively of the ones that I missed until I have missed none. Am I the only one who does this? From context of other threads, it sounds like most people go through the entire thing multiple times.

I got tired of misspellings and synonyms being wrong so I've just been hitting [enter] all the way through the flashcards.
Usually I review IC twice like that, then do the 3 Peterson tests and 1 CLEP practice test (only reviewing the wrong answers from the 4 practice tests).

Well, back when I was using the flashcards, I would go through the whole thing to see how good or terrible I was at the subject. Sometime I knew I was so terrible, I didn't make it past the first section! If that was the case I would read a study guide (REA, Idiot's, etc), then go back through the cards, continuing through the ones I missed. After doing ALL the cards correctly, I would start over so that I'd get a feel for where I
really was. I generally went with the 90% thing. Once I got that good, or nearly that good, I would schedule the test for the next day, or as soon as possible. It worked for me, but I rarely used JUST the flashcards.

I never go through the flashcards more then once. I also do not bother answering the flashcards I do them in my head then hit next. I also look at the specific exam feedback and make a word document of important info. If I feel the info in a card is new and important I may cut and pace into a word document or wiki the subject. I always do all 3 Petersons I do the first one before I study to see where I am in current knowledge, I do the second one mid- study to guage how it is going and I do the 3rd one near the end to make sure I am ready. If I am still not comfortable I will look for other study guides.

I've started doing this as well. In fact the Peterson's books are structured as a pre-test, study guide, and post-test. Works extremely well.

This sounds similar to what I do with IC. I take the first set (chapter) and go through it. Then I do a set of the ones I missed. If I miss any of those, then I do a set of THOSE. Each set gets smaller and smaller. I continue in this fashion until I know all the answers.
Each time I complete a set, I then set up a random set of ALL the completed sets.
Then I do the next set (chapter).
And of course always, always read the specific exam feedback threads for additional info.
So far, I have blown all cleps out of the water using this method. It works for me. My university requires passing scores that are somewhat higher than the average, so I strive for the highest marks possible.
