TESC Automatic Military Credit Eval
#1
Not sure if someone has posted this already, but I was browsing the TESC site and came upon the below portal.

https://mvp.tesc.edu/

I already have a degree, so I made a bogus profile for it. It asked me for my JST (AF don't get these, but the other services do), so I found a sample one online and uploaded it to the site. The site scanned the PDF and came back with 66 recommended credits and their exact TESC equivalent and how they will transcribe to a degree. I would post screen shots, but I'm lazy. But if anyone wants to try it out, this should give the military folks a good gauge of where the current credits will transcribe before ever applying. Of course, you can fill in any holes by asking the members here, but at least you'll have a good baseline to post for us!

EDIT: I attached PDF printouts of the sample JST I used and the sample degree plan TESC suggested. Not bad..

PrLoko-isms
Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Interesting tool Smile seems to have a couple glitches (didn't recognize my CLEP A & I Lit, or Western Civ I), but it's interesting to see how the credits would apply to different programs. Also interesting to see how some of my military stuff would transcribe at TESC (3 credits in Principles of Supervision, for instance, which isn't how any other school I've looked at credited those...).

Don't have much use for it right now, but it's a neat thing to look at.
