Hi all,
I'm building a degree plan for a TESC BSBA in CIS and I'm frustrated at how their CIS electives are structured. I'm hoping someone with experience in this degree path can offer some advice...
The BSBA CIS requires 12 CIS electives taken from a list of "areas." But I can't find TESC courses for the following in their list:
However, from what I can tell in several cases they don't actually offer courses that would actually meet their requirements. For example, I'm interested in finding out more about "Basic Design Theory and Decision Making Techniques", "Problem Analysis and Solutions", and "Quantitative Analysis and Information Systems." But I don't see any courses with those or similar names in their course list. I thought this was a degree program offered completely through TESC?
Do I need to find courses from other institutions to fill these requirements?
And if so, has anyone compiled a "master list" of external independent study courses that will fill the BSBA CIS electives requirements?
Thanks for the help!!

- Application System Development
- Basic Design Theory and Decision Making Techniques
- Computer Logic and Organization (= COS-330 Computer Architecture?)
- Computer Management
- Client Server and Net-Centric Computing
- Computer and Information Technology*
- Information Systems Administration
- Job Control Language Systems
- Network Architectures (=CMP-354 Network Technology?)
- Networking Principles (LAN/WAN/Internet) (= CAP-302 Computer Networking Systems?)
- Problem Analysis and Solutions
- Quantitative Analysis and Information Systems (MAT-119 is for Business, not IS)
- Social Aspects of Information Technology
