Transcript Evaluation Help Please

rebel100 Wrote:Yeah, I was sure about precalculus, thats why I posted. Just went and checked, precalculus is listed and it's ACE approved.

ALEKS is $20 a month, though if one is math savvy it can be done with as litle as one quiz, worth looking into Qpon, its a very frugal choice if your headed to one of the Big 3.

Thank you for the information, $20/month is cheap. I have never taken a calculus class so I would definitely get a text to study with but I think this is a great option and I will most likely take this route.

I'd look at Adams State College for Business Policy unless you don't want to hassle with having an additional transcript, in which case take care of it at TESC, if you choose to enroll there. You can take an exam with TESC to satisfy that requirement.

Thank you. I think I will take your recommendation and try to test out of it. I found the link which outlines the exam and I have also read the first hand accounts from others who have taken this exam. With the right material to study it seems doable.

LaceyLady Wrote:QponQueen, for the capstone course, you can either take the course at TESC, take TESC's exam (TECEP), or take the course elsewhere and transfer it in. If you want to transfer it, be sure to check with TESC beforehand. Here is information on the TECEP exams: Thomas Edison State College | Testing (TECEPÂ).

TESC does not have a residency requirement. You can transfer in 100% of your degree.

Thank you for making me aware of the option to test out, I think that is the route I will take.

* Is the managerial accounting an introductory course or is it upper level?

You should have everything you need for a BSBA in Accounting at TESC except precalculus or quantitative analysis and business policy.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for taking the time to put that together for me, it was very helpful. The managerial accounting course was a community college course which I took to transfer to a four-year university so I don't think it is an upper-division course.

You're welcome. In that case the managerial accounting course should belong right where I put it in that post.

TESC is the way to go. I was in a similar situation and even Excelsior gave me greef, but TESC was very willing to work with me and now I am only 4 exams away. This even included international qualifications that they did indeed accept.

Good luck
