Sorry, allow me to rephrase this. You mentioned being military before, and at least as of a year ago it was possible to get the UEXCEL paid for as long as you had it put in your degree plan.

Hi all,
Does anyone know if these will duplicate or fulfill the WER?
UEXCEL ENGX-110 College writing + Straighterline English Comp I
If they do duplicate, could you swap in SL Eng Comp II instead of I?
Essentially I don't want to take the expensive Eng Comp Uexcel, especially since it doesn't have a practice exam.

This will duplicate. Definitely take SL Eng Comp II in order to meet WER. I just finished SL Eng II in about a week. Note: ACE recommendations for the current version expire on 10/30/15. However, SL did verify it would be renewed

I just took the Uexcel English Comp in September. It is very easy. Study the requirements exactly. There is a good review in this site.
