Got jacked up by Excelsior, I'm in a bad head space, please help with new degree plan

"Core Degree Requirements - Excelsior College does not accept outside coursework for transfer credit required for core degree requirements. Excelsior provides a listing of its core degree requirements in its degree program catalog provided on its website."

The two paragraphs that immediately follow that one are clearly specific to the Excelsior College School of Nursing. My understanding had been that the first paragraph is also specific to the School of Nursing. Isn't it?

Yes, that is the statement that makes me wonder. It's been there for over 18 months. What does it mean? How is it enforced? I'm not aware of anyone on this forum running into an issue. Liberal Arts degrees did NOT have "Core Requirements" when I was working on mine, but I thought the Business degrees did. As Jonathan said, it may only be for the nursing program.

Anyway, the OP's degree plan seems to test the limits (if there are any) on SL and EC, but the problem may be entirely unrelated.

Personally, I understand not wanting to share more about it, especially if the facts may still be in question. To me, it's never a good idea to say a lot when you're upset, and this is a public forum that can't be edited.

I know it took a long time for me to recover from my dilemma, so I hope this one gets worked out quickly!

Here's a very quick plan for a BA in Liberal Studies at TESC using entirely Straighterline and Saylor credits plus the Capstone from TESC. You can substitute some things for others, of course, but this should give you the general idea. I didn't put any FEMA credits in due to the recent policy change.

The asterisks* indicate that you still need this class, and I put the source of the class after its name. UL indicates upper-level credit.

Good luck with your studies.

That's what I was thinking. Excelsior had already limited ACE credits for nursing programs awhile back.
