Anyone who's followed my EV threads knows I'm pretty gung ho for EV technology. That being said, I think some EVs are more hype than practical for the average person.

Jeff Bezos-backed Slate has revealed its new EV pickup with a starting price of $24,950, making it the cheapest new truck in America.

The catch?

• No back seat
  
  
• No speakers (There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio, because there is no radio.)

For comparison, the Ford Maverick XL, the current cheapest truck in America, starts at $27,145. For about $2,000 more, you can buy a real truck.
