I would like to complete a social sciences degree from Thomas Edison State. Possibly using only CLEP, ECE, DSST exams. Can someone help me figure out if the degree plan below will fulfill TESC's credit requirements for the degree? Would I have to CLEP the 27 credit free electives portion or is there an alternative way of attaining credits? Thanks!

You can get most of the 27 credits for free electives from FEMA courses- I think it's a max of 25, but use the search function to get the details on that (or perhaps someone else will weigh in). It will cost less.
Also, it looks to me like you only have 9 credits under the Gen Ed Social Science requirement instead of the required 12.

Instead of Computing, I recommend
taking "SOS-110: Living in the Information Age" at TESC. No books, no exams, easy A, which becomes easy 4.0 GPA.

Welcome to the forum!
I am not a TESC student, so be sure to double-check this.
While Excelsior does award credit for both computing exams, I believe TESC considers them to be duplicate credit.

Looking at the original post a second time, I wonder if there are enough upper level credits among the exams listed- it doesn't look like it, both overall and in the Area of Study.
OP- assuming they cost less than the ECE exams (on a per credit basis), you might want to look at taking the upper level history DSST exams (Vietnam War, Soviet Union and Modern Middle East), the Organizational Behavior DSST and perhaps the Money and Banking DSST since 18 of the 33 Area of Study credits in Social Sciences have to be upper level. Also look at the MIS DSST, Business Ethics DSST, the Introduction to World Religions DSST and Human Resource Management DSST for Gen Ed/Free Electives. Along with the Substance Abuse DSST, that would give you 30 UL credits.
