UMPI for the win if you can finish in 2 sessions...
I already have a BSBA from TESU, so I wouldn't have interest (even if I could get) a BABA from UMPI. The BA-Accounting would be both different and topic specific enough to make a practical addition to my resume, while adding accounting credits to my transcripts at an affordable cost - which is why I'm considering it.
Unclear how adding accounting credits to your transcripts will have any benefit for a job unless you are going into the accounting/finance industry.
Adding credits allows me more future options (such as CPA exam), the accounting specific credentials (degree or cert) is because I'm considering moving into a forensic accounting related field.

Yeah you'd have to go for the BA in Accounting. Seeing how you're considering moving into forensic accounting, a degree in accounting will probably be essential in your job search.

*Ding ding*, this is what I would suggest as well... an entirely new second degree with the BA Accounting. It really depends on how you want to play things and what is required in that forensic accounting role. A BSBA with a cert in accounting may be enough as you mentioned...
A TESU Cert is only 18 credits, UMPI minor is 18 credits, the BABA concentration has 24 credits in accounting, and the BA Accounting has 30. That was the reason I mentioned a BABA Accounting and BA Accounting may suffice as it has more credits in accounting than the Cert or Minor.
Here's the UMPI minor: http://catalog.umpi.edu/preview_program....nto=search
Here's a little spreadsheet detailing the only course differences in the BABA and BA Accounting.

forensic accounting is a really interesting field in accounting. note: The main area of government regulation within the accounting industry (i.e. the reason someone needs a CPA license) because of auditing. Forensic accounting is a sub-field of auditing.
forensic accounting = developing a strong background in auditing. You will need your CPA license, a Bachelors or Masters in accounting and optionally, a forensic accountant certification. Its a very specialized career in accounting and requires extensive background in auditing. This will require multiple advanced auditing courses and professional experience in auditing. You don't want to attempt to piece meal this together with a CERT because it won't be enough. Going into forensic accounting is an entire career pivot from anything else outside of accounting.

Thanks for the UMPI Comparison between the two Accounting degrees. If I'm understanding correctly, it looks like the BABA is the easier and quicker to complete between the two?
Besides the obvious difference being the BABA entails more business course requirements, could you please expand on who may be suited for each degree? i.e. Which degree will put a student in a better position for a Master's degree, CPA, or MBA? Which career path opportunities are each degree geared towards? Any advice would be greatly appreciated and super helpful!
